Where are assets held when I use imtoken?
Ownership is recorded on the relevant blockchain. The wallet manages keys and helps read, sign and broadcast transactions.
Can support verify my seed phrase?
No. Official staff will never request your seed phrase, private key or verification code.
Private key vs seed phrase?
A private key typically controls a specific account while a seed phrase can restore a group of derived accounts. Both are highly sensitive.
Why choose a network before sending?
Blockchains keep separate ledgers, so similar address formats do not make assets move automatically between networks.
What is gas?
Gas is the network resource fee used to process transactions or contract execution.
What is a transaction hash?
It uniquely identifies an on-chain transaction and lets you check status, block height, sender, recipient and confirmations.
Does connecting to a DApp move assets?
Connection alone usually does not, but later signatures, approvals or transactions can affect assets.
Message signature vs transaction signature?
Message signatures often support login or statements, while transaction signatures can change on-chain state.
What is a token approval?
It lets a designated contract spend tokens within an allowance and can remain active.
Why do EVM addresses look the same?
The same key can derive the same address format on multiple EVM networks while balances and contract state stay separate.
How does Layer 2 relate to mainnet?
Layer 2 systems execute with their own mechanisms and settle or publish data back to a base layer.
Should I interact with an unknown NFT?
Avoid acting immediately. Verify the contract, source and real activity first.
How can I reduce phishing risk?
Use trusted bookmarks or official entry points, inspect the domain and avoid unsolicited links.
Does Ethereum staking guarantee returns?
No. Rewards can change and participation involves validator, contract, waiting-time and market risks.
Why can PoS validators be penalized?
Extended downtime or consensus violations can lead to protocol penalties.
Can a wallet reverse a confirmed transaction?
Usually not. Once confirmed by the network, the wallet cannot unilaterally reverse it.
Why might an asset not appear immediately?
Node conditions, indexing or confirmations can delay display. Check the transaction hash independently.
When does a revoked approval take effect?
Revocation is usually another on-chain transaction and becomes effective after network confirmation.
